Like the Rainbow Six series, the game revolves around modern-day close-quarters battles, except that SWAT works with local law enforcment instead of performing a military role. SWAT 4 follows the same concept as its predecessors. We had the briefest chance to test the multiplayer a few months ago at the World Cyber Games, but now that we've been able to spend some more quality time with a multiplayer beta, things seem to be shaping up nicely. ![]() It's been over 5 years and counting since the release of SWAT 3, but after changing hands a few times, development of the latest SWAT was finally put in the stable hands of Irrational Games and appears to be nearing the home stretch. ![]() For a while, we were wondering if we'd ever see another installment in Sierra's popular SWAT series.
